Alison, CEO of Sustainable Perspectives Group, earned her LEED® AP in 2002 and has been educating and consulting for green building for 7 years. Since 2004, Alison has been working with clients to facilitate the LEED™ certification process.
Alison has an extensive background in human ecology and sustainable practices. She holds a Master of Environmental Management from University of Texas at San Antonio and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Natural and Human Ecology and Psychology from Emory University.
Professional Leadership Activities · South Central Regional Council Vice-Chair for the US Green Building Council (USGBC), Central Texas - Balcones Chapter (Austin-San Antonio region) - to communicate with the South Central Regional Council that includes four other Chapters located in Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana to provide support among chapters and share green building best practices and resources (2007—2009) · Interim Vice-Chair for the USGBC, South Central Region of Chapters - representing five local chapters and communicating with the USGBC National Chapter based in Washington D.C. attending 3 meetings a year in Washington D.C. to discuss local and national green building issues and USGBC policies and product development (2008-2009) · City of Helotes Planning & Zoning Committee (Past board member) · San Antonio Water Systems Conservation Committee member (2008—current) · City of San Antonio mayor’s Task Force on Sustainable Buildings Advisory Committee (2008) · As an advisor to Build San Antonio Green, Alison helped to establish San Antonio’s first green homes rating system

Elizabeth joined Sustainable Perspectives Group in 2008, and oversees the execution of green building projects by planning, organizing, and coordinating the skills and knowledge of the project team to achieve LEED® Certification and other green building goals. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Construction Management from the University of Texas, San Antonio, and has over seven years experience in the local real estate development and construction industry.

Heather DeGrella, LEED AP, Assoc. AIA Director of Sustainability Programs |

Heather DeGrella is a green building consultant and the Sustainability Programs Director with SPG. She provides technical assistance to commercial building owners, construction and design professionals with green building best practices.
Prior to joining SPG, Heather had 11 years of architecture design experience as a project designer, project manager, and construction administrator for a number of institutional clients, non-profit organizations and government agencies, as well as private owners. Heather holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and became LEED® AP in 2003.
Select Professional Activities and Honors · Heather was recognized in 2008 for her leadership in bringing the issues of sustainability and green building to the forefront of the local building industry as a recipient of the San Antonio Business Journal’s “40 Under 40 Rising Stars” award. · USGBC CT-B Chapter: Founding member, past Chair of the Board, and currently the Board’s representative on the South Central Regional Council · Mayor’s appointee to the Citizen’s Environmental Advisory Committee, tasked with identifying and creating strategies for carrying forward the vision of San Antonio’s Mission Verde. · AIA Committee on the Environment and AIA Express-News Editorial Board · As an advisor to Build San Antonio Green, Heather helped to establish San Antonio’s first green homes rating system. · Heather also authors articles for the San Antonio Business Journal and the San Antonio Express-News on topics of sustainability, and frequently presents on green building issues. |
